How to
activate AS Enterprise Security? |
|
Attention!
Before you activate the product, make sure the
system date is set correctly on your PC.
After installation of AS Enterprise Security and restarted the PC , the setup Wizard will prompt for activation of the program by the following ways:
- Activate with a Service Key – it is
necessary to enter a 15-marks Service Key (XXXXX
- XXXXX - XXXXX). For successful activation your
computer must be connected to the Internet. After a valid Service Key is entered, the program will then be activated.
- Activate later – you can skip activation on this step. Next time you restarted the PC, the program will prompt for entering a Service Key. After a valid Service Key is entered, the program will then be activated.
Note: Service Key should be entered from
the keyboard using Latin letters ONLY!

How to install AS Enterprise
Security? |
|
If you purchased AS
Enterprise Security
on a disc, the installation process will start automatically after the Setup disc is inserted into the CD-ROM drive. If the Setup disc does not run automatically, you need to run the executable installation file manually. Select a disc and a folder where
AS Enterprise Security setup file is located and double-click the executable file. After you run the executable setup file, the Setup Wizard of
AS Enterprise Security will be launched. After completing the installation process, your
PC will be automatically restarted.

How can we efficiently
install AS Anti-Virus Clients on hundreds of
computers on the corporate network? |
|
AS Enterprise Security
can effectively locate all the Client Computers on the corporate network. By the advanced technology of Remote Installation, AS Enterprise Security can efficiently perform automatic remote installation of
AS Anti-Virus Client onto all the selected Client Computers.

How can Client Computers
update their anti-virus and anti-hacker database? |
|
AS Enterprise Security
automatically updates its anti-virus and anti-hacker
databases from AvailaSoft Update Servers at fixed time intervals. It will then automatically update the latest version of anti-virus and anti-hacker databases in AS Anti-Virus Clients Computer on the corporate network at fixed time intervals.

How does AS Enterprise
Security manage security scans for Client Computers? |
|
System Administrators can
perform security scans for Client Computers in the
following steps:
- Open the main window of AS Enterprise
Security Server
- Click the Scheduled Scan
menu
Under Scheduled Scan,
System Administrators can manage AS Anti-Virus
Clients to perform different kinds of security scans
on Client Computers in accordance with their
corporate criteria.

What does the File Anti-Virus do? |
|
Your PC’s file system may contain
viruses and other Malware. Malware may be stored in your
file system for years, having intruded your computer
from a removable drive or from the Internet and does not
show itself. But as soon as you open an infected file or
try to copy it on a disk, the virus starts to function.
File Anti-Virus is a component that
controls computer file system. It scans OPENED, LAUNCHED
AND SAVED files on your computer and on all attached
discs. Each file the user deals with is intercepted by
AS Anti-Virus and scanned for viruses. The user can
work with the file if the file is not infected or was
successfully disinfected by AS Anti-Virus. If the
file cannot be disinfected by some reasons, it will be
deleted or auto-treated.

What does Mail Anti-Virus do? |
|
E-mail is widely used by violators to
spread Malware and worms as well. That is why it is
extremely important to control all e-mail.
Mail Anti-Virus is the component that checks all
incoming and outgoing messages of your PC. It analyzes
e-mails for Malware. Recipient can open the message only
if it has no dangerous objects.

How does Mail Anti-Virus work with
the mail client Outlook? |
|
With AS Anti-Virus, email
attachments are scanned by the protocol IMAP4 in the
mail client MS Office Outlook by default before
downloaded on the computer locally.
If you by some reason want
to disable this function (for advanced users only),
please do the followings:
- Open the main window of AS Anti-Virus
- Click the Complete Protection menu
- Click Mail Anti-Virus under the
Complete Protection menu
- Click Disable button to disable
Mail Anti-Virus
- Minimize the main window of AS Anti-Virus
- After this, AS Anti-Virus
will not scan any outlook mails.

What does the Insecure Web
Detection do? |
|
Surfing the Internet you may be
at risk of getting a virus infection or attached to
scripts that are started up at websites. Insecure
Web Detection has been specially designed to
prevent such infections. This component intercepts
and alerts users when visiting insecure websites.

What does the Preventive
Defense do? |
|
Hacker
programs are growing in number rapidly every day.
They are becoming more complicated and combine
several types of hacker programs in one. Their
methods of spreading are more and more difficult to
detect.
To detect new hacker programs before it harms your
PC, AS Anti-Virus contains a new special
component – Preventive Defense. It controls
and analyses the behavior of programs installed on
your PC. The Preventive Defense component helps
AS Anti-Virus to decide whether the program is
dangerous or not, thereby protecting your computer
not only from already known hackers but from
potential ones as well.
Preventive Defense consists of the
following components:
- Automatically protects your computer system
against internal and external hackers as well as
potential unknown threats.
- Quick Scan for active hackers and potential
threats.
